Loom on Windows

Save an authorized Loom recording or shared video.

Check Loom's own Download option for your recording or a shared video whose owner permits saving. If using DownloaderAI on Windows, Analyze the single eligible share page and choose a local destination.

Download for Windows

Choose the right Loom content

Your own recording, a publicly shared video, and a workspace-restricted recording have different access rules. Loom download permissions depend on settings, roles, and plans; viewing access alone is not download authorization.

What platform support establishes

DownloaderAI currently supports Loom, as confirmed by the product owner. This content update did not include a platform download test. Specific link types and outputs depend on the result shown by the client; a platform name or an underlying yt-dlp support entry does not prove every client feature works. DownloaderAI is an independent Windows desktop download tool and is not affiliated with the source platform. This website does not process or download videos online.

Workflow

How to use this workflow

Step 1

Install DownloaderAI for Windows

Use the Download page for the current 64-bit Windows 10/11 installer, checksum, and installation guidance. Analysis and saving happen in the desktop app.

Step 2

Copy the recording's share page

Open the intended Loom recording, confirm owner permission and normal access, and copy that video's link rather than a workspace folder or animated preview.

Step 3

Analyze one link in the desktop app

Follow the app's applicable prompts, paste the authorized URL into New Download, and select Analyze. Review the returned media and formats; if nothing usable appears, follow the failure guidance below.

Step 4

Choose a destination and verify the file

Select only a permitted result and a save location. After the task completes, open the chosen folder in Windows and check the file's content, playback, duration, and audio. Do not assume a fixed default folder.

Use cases

Where it fits

Download your own recording in Loom

Use the native Download action when your role and settings allow it. Keep an original recording for a durable production copy.

A collaborator's shared walkthrough

Ask the owner whether a local copy is permitted. Loom may require signed-in viewers for its native download option; do not transfer those credentials to DownloaderAI.

Safety and privacy boundaries

  • A local file does not preserve Loom comments, interactive CTAs, chapters, or all editing features. This guide does not bypass workspace controls or disabled downloads.
  • DownloaderAI does not bypass login, private content, payment, DRM, CAPTCHA, age verification, or regional restrictions. Do not use Cookies, tokens, accounts, or proxies to evade access controls.

    Frequently asked questions

Why is a new Loom recording not ready to download?

Loom says a recording may need extra processing time before its Download button becomes available. An unavailable control does not prove DownloaderAI can obtain an unfinished file.

Does a Loom MP4 preserve the whole interactive page?

No. Loom documents features absent from its MP4 download, including CTAs, chapters, and closed captions. This guide does not promise export of the interactive page or comments.
